About the event

This project explores walking as a methodology to engage with public and restricted territories. Using her body, camera, diary, and digital tools, the practitioner documents and maps experiences across spaces along the 25.12222°N latitude in Taiwan. The work challenges reliance on satellite navigation by investigating how embodied perception can guide movement and interpretation of the environment. Through the collection of over 2,000 images and field notes from diverse sites—including urban streets, rural homes, and restricted areas—the project reflects on how landscapes are shaped by both human and nonhuman forces. By combining visual documentation with material analysis, it proposes alternative ways of reading and mapping space. Ultimately, the work questions technological dependence and highlights walking as a critical and sensory method for understanding place.
